Meteorological certificate - measuring equipment approval

The Pattern Approval Certificate of Measuring Instruments is required for all measuring instruments calibrated for use on the Russian market. 

Procedure for approving measuring equipment:

•    Gathering of required documentation for approving measuring equipment
•    Taking of product samples from the manufacturer 
•    An accredited laboratory assesses the measuring equipment for its suitability
•    The technical documentation is checked and provides the basis for an expert report
•    Submission of documents to Rosstandard for inspection 
•    Certificate issued with a positive decision
•    Entry in the State Register

Experience has shown that between four and six months are required for the certificate to be issued.
