TR-CU Ex Certificate

As of 15.02.2013, all equipment secured against explosions (electric (electrical devices), including Ex components and non-electrical devices for use in areas at risk of explosion) are to demonstrate compliance with the technical stipulations for the Customs Union.

Proof is the TR CU Ex Certificate in accordance with Technical Regulations 012/2011 'Regarding the safety if equipment for operation in an environment at risk of explosion', (resolution of the Customs Union's Commission of 18 October 2011, no. 825).

The  TR CU Ex Certificate is laid out as a TR CU Certificate with the extra feature of additional details regarding explosion protection being listed in further appendices.

There are two kinds of  TR CU Ex Certificate:

1. Contractual  TR CU Ex certificate
This is issued for a contract and remains valid until the contract has been performed in full, i.e. the entire specifications of the contract have been implemented in the target country and all customs-related matters have been settled.

2.  TR CU Ex Certificate with a validity of 1-5 years, series production

This series certificate allows exporters to export the product stated on the certificate as often as it wants within the validity period (period of 1-5 years). The legislator requires audits to be carried out with a TR CU series certificate. These are generally carried out prior to actual certification.

Please note that in accordance with the Customs Union's new regulations, EAC certification must be applied for by a legal entity registered in the custom union's territory. The manufacturer continues to be shown as such on the certificate.
